Infrared Light Therapy

CSN’s investment in portable equipment allows our nurses and therapists to deliver state-of-the-art, non-invasive care that speeds wound healing, is effective in pain management, can increase sensation, and can reduce the pain of neuropathy. We have a multitude of success stories of chronic wounds that wouldn't heal that finally were resolved with infrared light and/or ultraviolet light.

Infrared light therapy is also often effective in decreasing pain while increasing sensation for patients that are plagued by peripheral neuropathy in their hands and feet; a condition that limits a person's ability to walk and greatly increases his or her fall risk. When this therapy is efficacious for a patient's neuropathy, he or she is able to purchase a cost-effective home unit through an independent vendor and after training, continue their treatments for these chronic conditions independently. We are the only home health agency we are aware of that brings this technology into the home.
