VitalStim Therapy

VitalStim Therapy is an FDA-approved treatment that uses electrical stimulation of the throat’s muscles by a specially trained speech therapist to help people with difficulty swallowing – clinically known as dysphagia.  As part of a comprehensive program, VitalStim therapy can help restore function and reduce or eliminate the need for modified diets and/or tube feedings. Again, this is a non-invasive treatment that requires a great deal of clinical skill that CSN brings to homebound patients.
